ALOHA at DATE Conference, Dresden, Germany, March 19-23, 2018

During the 2018 edition of DATE conference - Design Automation and Test in Europe, hosted by HIPEAC (European Network on High Performance and Embedded Architecture and Compilation) the University of Cagliari presented the ALOHA objectives.

The DATE conference addresses all aspects of research into technologies for electronic and (embedded) systems engineering. It covers the design process, test, and tools for design automation of electronic products ranging from integrated circuits to distributed  large-scale  systems.  This  includes  both  hardware  and  embedded  software  design  is - sues. The conference scope also includes the elaboration of design requirements and  new architectures for challenging application fields such as telecom, wireless communications, multimedia, healthcare and automotive systems. Persons involved in innovative  industrial  designs  are  particularly  encouraged  to  submit  papers  to  foster  the   feedback from design to research. Panels, hot-topic sessions and embedded tutorials highlight and inform about emerging topics.

This year, the conference took place for the fifth time in the International Congress Center Dresden, Germany, on March 19 – 23, 2018.

Out of a total of 766 paper submissions, 39% came from authors in Europe, 26% of submissions were from America, 34% from Asia, and 1% from the rest of the world. This distribution clearly demonstrates DATE’s international character, global reach, and impact. DATE presented an exciting technical programme, comprising 79 technical sessions including 8 Exhibition Theatre sessions.

DATE conferences hosted a University Booth that fosters the transfer of academic work to industry (research institutes and universities demonstrated their mature prototypes and pre-commercial results). The University of Cagliari presented the ALOHA objectives through a poster. Official Gallery of the event.
